Founded in 1997, San Diego Hua Xia Chinese School (SDHXCS) is a nonprofit, secular, and apolitical educational organization with 501(c)(3) status. The school is the first local Chinese language school that teaches simplified Chinese and Pinyin (Chinese phonetic).
Our mission is to provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students to acquire skills of comprehension, communication, reading and writing in Mandarin Chinese,to instill an awareness of the Chinese heritage, creating programs to introduce Chinese culture to the community, and to promote mutual understanding between different ethnic groups.
Our school grow rapidly since very beginning. With enrollment over 1,100 each school year, SDHXCS has become the largest Chinese language educational organization in San Diego. Five programs (Bilingual, Regular, Credit, AP Chinese, and Enrichment) offer 60 Chinese classes and over 30 enrichment classes to meet the needs of our students with different levels of proficiency and interests.
In 2003, SDHXCS's Credit Program (Level I through Level IV) was born. The program is widely accredited by local school districts. In 2006, AP Chinese course was added. The course is approved by and registered with College Board. The programs are fully accredited by ASC WACS (Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Colleges and Schools).

Pay online:
Ø Online payment is fast, easy, and convenient. Enjoy a reward too from your credit card company!
Ø Attention!! Do not click "submit" more than once, it may cause multiple charges. If the system fails to respond, please retreat from the application and contact us immediately.
Ø With online payment, an auto receipt will be sent to your student's email address immediately. Please keep the receipt till the end of the 2025-2026 school year in case you need to make changes. Check your trash/spam if you don't see the auto receipt. Be sure to correctly spell out your email address!
Ø Do Not apply for online credit card refund! Refund can only be done, upon request, by the Administration. Please refer to below " Update Information".
Ø If unable to make online payment, you may choose pay by check. After submitting the registration, mail the check to: SDHXCS, 7920 Arjons Drive, Suite H, San Diego, CA 92126. Registration is complete only after payment is received.
Ø The students by default will have the same class time for the new school year. If you plan to change your class time, please fill out and submit “Update Information” after your registration.

Online Registration: Begins Aug 1st, 2025. If you would like to try a class, please DO NOT register until you decide which class you are going to take for the school year because no refund or transfer will be granted after the registration.
User Name/Password: Current student username (student ID) is same as 2024-2025. No username is needed for new students' registration.

Course Schedule: Sundays, Aug. 17, 2025 - May 10, 2026.
Class Time: Two sessions shown below unless specified otherwise on the Class Schedule.
• Morning class: 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.; 12:30 p.m. - 1:20 p.m.
•Afternoon class: 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Multiple class participation is allowed for each student as long as schedule permits.
